T.I. Helps To Bail Out Several Nonviolent Offenders On Easter

T.I. assisted with bailing out 23 nonviolent offenders yesterday on Easter!

On April 21, seven women and sixteen men were freed from jail after T.I, Scrapp Deleon from Love and Hip Hop, and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church came together to bail these individuals out who were nonviolent and first time offenders. They raised a total of $120,000 to bail the prisoners.

According to Fox 5 , this effort from the Church began at the start of lent in which their goal was to raise a total of $40,000 and had exceeded that goal within 40 days by the amount of $80,000.

“It’s like a whole new clean slate,” Tyron Pollard a program recipient said. “I was doing drugs before I got locked up … but I don’t want to do nothing but do right and strive to be a model citizen for my kids.” He continued, “For people to just reach out, willing to help out of the blue, them not knowing you from nobody…that’s a blessing,” Pollard expressed.
