Oprah Winfrey passed on Thanksgiving day.

The news broke the internet with a post from one of Oprah niece named Alisha Hayes, in which the family confirmed, according to TMZ.

Oprah relationship with her mother is known to be rocky due to Vernita absence in Orpah life, and as well as Oprah molestation experience from her cousin and abuse done by an uncle.

Their relationship eventually was repaired on Oprah talk show in which she even gave her mother a live televised makeover.

Vernita lived at 83.
