Ras Slick Set To Sizzle At Jamaica Music Conference

International Reggae artist is set to perform at the Jamaica Music Conference.

KINGSTON, JAMAICA — November 2018 — After what has been one of his busiest years to date, International Reggae artist Ras Slick is set to sizzle at the 6th Annual Jamaica Music Conference (JMC). The artist, heralded for amazing stage shows complete with thrilling vocals, dance and multiple instrument playing, is bringing his kinetic set to the JMC Showcase on Saturday, November 17 at the lush Jamnesia in Kingston, Jamaica.

For a second year, the super talented Ras Slick will grace the JMC Showcase stage. By popular demand, the crooner will join the likes of Tifa, Lila Ike, Horace Martin and more. Ras Slick, a staple on the U.S. performance circuit and festival scene with his personal band Dutty Bus Crew, is ready to bring his electrifying brand of music to Jamaica. Ras Slick, who recently wrapped an exciting festival season and "Penultimate" tour, is anxious to perform before fans in his country of birth.

Currently enjoying the feedback of recently released music like "Late Night," "Crazy Glue" and "Concentrate," the soulful singer has plans to promote the scorching songs on radio stations and other media outlets during his time in Jamaica. Speaking of new music, the artist has been busy putting finishing touches on his album "Era, The New," which is set for a March 2019 release on all digital platforms.

Ras Slick broke ground in 2017 with the release of his powerful song "No Shackles and Chains." Still celebrated, the "No Shackles and Chains" song and video amassed worldwide attention for the artist. In fact, "No Shackles and Chains," a song that decries the physical and mental bondage of people of color, continues to resonate amongst fans. With “No Shackles and Chains,” Ras Slick has learned first hand that songs with impactful messages are timeless.

The JMC brings together the who’s who of the industry, up and comings and subject matter experts from various sides of the business to explore the current state of music, where to next and tangible strategies to get there. The JMC does this at various venues across Kingston, giving international attendees a chance to truly experience Jamaica.
