Mariah Carey Set To Receive Icon Award At The Billboard Music Awards This Year 

Mariah Carey will be the Billboard Music Award honoree this year! The r&b singer is set to receive the Icon Award.

According to Billboard , apart from receiving the honorable award, Mariah is going to be performing her hit singles.

Carey is known for her amazing vocals and melodies through the years of her career, in which she continues to chart as well. The site stated that, Mariah was leading the Billboard Hot 100 in the 90s, which made her "the only artist to top the chart in every year of any decade and has had 18 total No. 1s on the chart."

Additionally, the r&b singer six albums have also charted number 1 on Billboard Hot 200 charts. Mariah Carey will be joining past Icon Award honorees Janet Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Lopez Celine Dion, Cher and plenty others.
