Jacquees sparked big chaos on social media a few weeks ago when he claimed himself as the King of R&B, which would continue as fans discovered his covers of classic pop and R&B songs. However, one fan has taken the initiative to make it stop.

On Christmas, a man name named Ricky Fields launched a petition on change.org in order to ban Jacquees from doing any more covers. "As a Black Community, we have to figure out how we getting rid of Jacquees," Fields expressed in the description of his page.

The two covers which caused a further fuss on social media was Soul 4 Real's "Candy Rain" and Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana."

Earlier in the summer, the r&b singer released a cover of Ella Mai's "Trip," which caused a lot of controversies. The remix outperformed the original version of the song on multiple digital platforms.

The success of Jacquees remix to Ella Mai's song ended when DJ Mustard, her manager, had the cover removed from all streaming platforms. Mustard stated on Twitter that, "When you monetize content you don’t own you are stealing and no one steals from 10 Summers."

Jacquees cannot be stopped from performing song covers, but Fields is more interested in fans disapproving it. So far he has received support from 27,000 and only seeking a total of 35,000 signatures.
