Dovey Magnum Gets Snubbed By Jada Kingdom & Ishawna, Addresses Women Empowerment In Dancehall

On Saturday, Dovey Magnum spoke to Onstage TV about being snubbed by Ishawna and Jada Kingdom.

The dancehall deejay held an all-female event in Jamaica for her birthday party where both Jada and Ishawna were booked to perform. However, both of the artists withdrew themselves from the concert a few weeks prior to the event.

The singer said, "They removed themselves till where it kind of shake me likkle." She admitted to being hurt by their removal.

The "Bawlout" singer was asked about the reason behind Ishawna withdrawal from the show, which she honestly responded to.

"You know seh if she did have a good reason me cya understand, but she don't have no reason," Dovey Magnum expressed. She was also confused by their removal being that both of the singers reasons was not sufficient for her.

As for Jada Kingdom, the dancehall artist also gave Winford a similar response too, considering that Jada contacted Dovey two weeks prior stating she could perform.

"The text that came in my DM, cya dweet. And then another text, manager is against it," Dovey stated.

The dancehall singer further elaborated how this behavior from Ishawna and Jada Kingdom highlights the lack of women empowerment in dancehall. She explained how incidents like this show how the business can cause conflict and rivalry between artist.

"I reach out to unno, and unno give me the okay to go ahead to continue doing whatever. And then now two weeks before my party you pulling out, that one pulling out, and then none of the reasons them don't add up. It makes no sense. It makes me believe that anno the men dem a fight ganist unno, a unno a fight ganist unno self," Dovey Magnum expressed.
