Tekashi 69 Former Gang Leader Pleads Guilty To Charges

Looks like Tekashi will be getting more time off his undecided sentence! The former leader of his street gang, Jamel Jones aka Mel Murda, just pled guilty to racketeering and drug charges.

According to The Blast, The U.S. Attorney, Geoffrey S. Berman, reported that Jamel Jones pled guilty on Wednesday in the Manhattan federal court to racketeering and drug offences.

The attorney stated that "Jamel Jones admitted in open court to his involvement in Nine Trey and distributing drugs for the gang,” adding, “We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to keep our communities safe and vigorously investigate and prosecute those who bring violence and drugs into our communities.”

Mel Murda also was caught on recording expressing to other colleagues of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods how he wanted to kill Tekashi and how he was "never a gang member."

Mr. Jones is currently facing 65 years in prison for his participation in the criminal business and will be receiving his sentence in July.

As for Tekashi 69, this allows his time for sentencing to be reduced, but his cooperation with authorities and the amount of other gang member convicted also does too.
